Artist Statement
The way I see the world is directly connected to how I relate to the communities to which I belong. The abstract space I inhabit is created by the people in my life, and defined by the relationships I observe and engage in. I draw the people to whom I am closely connected; family, friends, and mentors. In this space and with these people I can find connections between seemingly disparate parts of my life and make sense of influence and relationships still affect me. In this space, I find my bearings.
